CSTMS is an active hub of conferences, workshops, and continuing events. See a list of upcoming events here.
The CSTMS Colloquium
The CSTMS Colloquium is a seminar series of invited lectures that is hosted by CSTMS, on Thursday from 4-6pm in 470 Stephens Hall during each semester. They are often sponsored by research units within CSTMS, and occasional co-sponsored by other units at Berkeley and other UC campuses.
With the speaker’s permission, these events are streamed live on our website, and archived on the individual event page. Find out who is speaking, or watch past Colloquia.
While not often advertised on our main events listing, we have several active working groups. History of Science scholars should check out our Brownbag group, while STS scholars might enjoy taking part in the STS Working Group. More policy-oriented scholars should also explore the Science, Technology, and Engineering Policy group.
Workshops and Conferences
CSTMS also hosts several workshops, conferences, and other large events each year. These range from historical topics to contemporary policy questions, and aim to assess and advance the forefront of theoretical, historical, and empirical work in the fields of Science & Technology Studies, History of Science & Technology, and the Medical Humanities. Have a look at upcoming and past workshops and conferences.
