A print edition of the exhibit text is available for ease of reading and for educational use. In adapting the online exhibit to print, however, some changes in arrangement were required. The print edition also does not include the video clips. The text, however, is nearly identical (some captions have been changed for reasons of space).
The print edition is in Adobe PDF format and requires the free Adobe Reader to view or print.
The print edition of the online exhibit is free for use, reproduction, and distribution for educational purposes as long as the cover page (the first page) and the acknowledgments page (the last page) are included. It may not be altered or sold in any way or form. For all other usage questions, please contact the Office for History of Science and Technology, University of California, Berkeley, at http://cstms.berkeley.edu or by e-mailing email@example.com. All image copyrights are retained by their holders and subject to their own usage restrictions. The print exhibit is © 2004 by the Regents of the University of California. Please see the exhibit usage guidelines page for more information.
There are two versions of the print edition. The low-resolution version does not include any historical documents, and the images are not suitable for quality printing (72 dpi). However, the file size is relatively small. The high-resolution version has a larger file size but includes all historical documents and images at print-quality resolution (300 dpi).
It is recommended that you download the PDF file to your computer rather than open it in the browser window. To download the file, Right-click (Windows) or Option-click (Mac) on the icon and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As."
