George Dyson, author of the critically acclaimed book Turing’s Cathedral, kicks off the 2013 On the Same Page program. Dyson is an author, boatbuilder, designer and historian of technology whose interests range from the development of the Aleut kayak to the evolution of digital computing and telecommunications. This keynote discussion will illuminate the transition from numbers that mean things to numbers that do things in the aftermath of World War II.
