Metrology Across the Sciences: Wishful Thinking? Conference

Date/Time
Wednesday - Friday
3 Aug - 5 Aug 2016

Event Type
Non-CSTMS Event

The conference is a Joint Symposium held by three Technical Committees of the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO): TC1 on metrology education, TC7 on measurement science, and TC13 on measurements in biology and medicine.

The theme of the Joint Symposium builds on the focus of a 2010 National Research Council workshop on the feasibility of developing well-grounded common metrics for the social sciences. George Bohrnstedt, of AIR in Palo Alto, chaired the workshop’s organizing committee and has personally communicated his interest and support for the upcoming IMEKO Joint Symposium.

The deadline for abstract submissions is March 25. As has been the case for several years, the Joint Symposium proceedings will be published in the Journal of Physics Conference Series. For further information and Word and LaTEX templates for abstracts and full papers, see http://imeko-tc7-berkeley-2016.org/abs-full-paper-submisn.html.
