• Innovation of Ecological Technology

GUO Furui (郭芙蕊) specializes in Science and Technology Philosophy, and her primary interest is in the development of Science, Technology & Society (STS). In particular, she studies the relationship between people, society, and science/technology through the lens of Ecological Philosophy.

Her current project looks at the consumption paradox globally but especially in China. Prevailing consumerism has a destructive impact on the ecological environment, and the balance between humanity and nature is broken. But it also strongly promotes economic development. It is meaningful to recover the balance among human, nature and society, especially to balance individual and himself.

Ecological technology innovation is another part of Furui's current research. Ecological technology innovation draws on both traditional Chinese ecological technology and modern technology.
