The focus of my academic interest is to understand how the power relations surrounding the practice of bioprospecting have been constructed and re-constructed, and how consensus has been stabilized in this same practice in different international contexts. In short, in this particular case, I intend to focus on the scientific discourse (in published articles on this topic) and political discourses (in parliament), in order to understand how American and Brazilian societies approach bioprospecting.
