How can we analyze and resolve the ethical issues inherent in engineering? This seminar-style, discussion-based course developed and taught by CSTMS Postdoctoral Scholar Mary Sunderland provides an introduction to how theories, concepts, and methods from the humanities and social sciences can be applied to ethical problems in engineering. Assignments involve a combination of group and independent research projects that are designed to provide students an opportunity to contribute novel findings to the emerging academic field of engineering ethics while building their analytical and communication skills.

Ethics, Engineering, and Society (E125) is a new seminar-style course offered this semester through the College of Engineering (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11-12:30, Wheeler Hall).
