MEDS provides a forum for faculty and students interested in the broad field of medical humanities, including the history of medicine, social medicine, medical anthropology, and medical studies. The working group aims to strengthen medicine as an object of study in the Center and brings together faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates for regular events and meetings. This includes formal presentation, work-in-progress discussion groups as well as themed workshops and roundtables. The intent of MEDS is to develop at the Center a diverse community of scholars and students with an interests in medicine and to foster research on diversity, race, and gender in medicine.
