Please join us on Thursday, November 7th at 12:00 pm in 470 Stephens Hall for a discussion with Christopher Phillips regarding a chapter he wrote titled “Inference Rituals: Algorithms and the History of Statistics.” This chapter is forthcoming in Algorithmic Modernity, an edited volume led by Massimo Mazzotti and Morgan Ames.  You are encouraged to come with questions and comments to facilitate the discussion.
