Aleksandra Lis (PhD) works as an Assistant Professor at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She holds a PhD degree in sociology and social anthropology from the Central European University in Budapest and was a visiting research fellow at various research institutions and think tanks in Europe and in the USA: Center for Science Technology, Medicine and Society at UC Berkeley, Center on Organizational Innovation at the Columbia University in NYC, Institute for Advanced Studies in Science Technology and Society at TU Graz, Agora Energiewende Think Tank in Berlin and Max Planck Institute for the Study of Society in Cologne. She has worked in several research projects on climate and energy politics funded by the Polish National Science Centre, the European Commission and the Polish-German Science Foundation. For the last six years Aleksandra Lis carried out research on various social aspects of shale gas development in two H2020 projects: M4ShaleGas and SECURe, and published in peer reviewed journals such as: Energy Research and Social Science, the Extractive Industries and Social Science, Journal of Environmental Policy and Planning, Energy Policy, JCMS-Journal of Common Market Studies, Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions, Europe-Asia Studies.
