Dr Bibia Pavard is an Associate Professor of Contemporary History at Paris Panthéon-Assas University. Her work is at the crossroads of the history of mobilizations, media analysis and history of social change with a special focus on gender and feminism. She has published on the issues of contraception and abortion in France, the movements of the long sixties and the history of feminisms. Her new research focuses on the transnational circulation of the vacuum abortion technique during the 1960s and 1970s in order to seize a “Global revolution of abortion” at the intersection of technical and political innovation.
