Moritz Becker is a researcher in the field of sociology at the at the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin and the Humboldt-University of Berlin. He holds a M.Sc. in Sociology from LSE and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Bonn. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Moritz was a Junior Research Manager in the field of E-Business at a market research institute in Germany. Moritz's research lies at the intersection of organisational sociology and the sociology of technology. His work is concerned with blockchain-technology, particularly decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). He studies the coordinating effects of these technologies in the context of collective decision-making processes and the normative ideals associated with them in current discourses.
