Professor Chen's research in the field of "Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)" presents a unique opportunity for our interdisciplinary environment. Her work adopts a "hybrid" approach, combining human and machine intelligence to enhance the accuracy of machine learning models and facilitate ethical decision-making. Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive analysis on how HITL can effectively guide ethical decision-making, particularly in areas such as disaster rescue robots and nursing robots. Professor Chen's research aims to fill this crucial gap by exploring the feasibility of HITL and advocating its application throughout the entire process of AI ethical design.
Her research provides a fresh perspective on how HITL can be harnessed to make ethical decisions in AI design, a critical concern in today's technological landscape. Professor Chen's research output and expertise are invaluable contributions to our center, and her interdisciplinary approach complements our research focus. Her extensive project experience, conference participation, and notable publications, which include articles on science communication and engineering ethics, underscore her dedication to the field.
