The presenter for the upcoming working group on April 15th will be Zoë Ruha Bell, PhD student in Theoretical Computer Science (TCS) with a Designated Emphasis in Science, Technology, & Society studies (STS), University of California, Berkeley. For this seminar, she will be discussing her work provisionally titled: "Reactionary Mathematics & Postmodern Cryptography: Debates Over Purity vs Pragmatism in the Random Oracle Model Controversy."


The STS/HST workshops aim to create a safe and relaxed atmosphere where all can present their research, receive feedback, and build an interdisciplinary community of visiting scholars, visiting student researchers, and graduate students across UC Berkeley.
