Anna Jabloner is a PhD candidate in the anthropology department at the University of Chicago. Her research looks at various uses of human genetic databanks, focusing on the growing collections of genetic data in medicine and criminology. Her aim is to trace how investments in the collecting and archiving of genes are emerging alongside consumer or kin desires for certainty and relatedness in American culture.
