Perry Guevara joined the Dominican faculty in 2016 and is, at present, a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Science, Technology, Medicine, and Society. Previously, he was a fellow at Emory’s Scholars Program in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Research. He has authored essays on medicinal plants and minimal cognition in Paradise Lost, affect theory and Shakespearean pedagogy in prison, embodied cognition and entomological life in Titus Andronicus, and transitional object theory in Othello. He is presently writing a book, Inhuman Depressions: Cognitive Ecologies in English Renaissance Literature, as well as an essay on neurotechnology and experimental theater.
