Prof. Dr. Sc. Raphael Zingg is an Assistant Professor at Waseda University, Institute for Advanced Study, Tokyo, and a Research Affiliate at the ETH Zurich, Center for Law & Economics. He has worked as a visiting scholar at a number of foreign institutions, notably the University of California in Berkeley, the University of Hong Kong, Singapore Management University, and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich. His scholarly fields of interest include the study of the patent system, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence laws. At Berkeley, he is pursuing a project on gender differences in innovation.
