Science and Technology Governance

green worldThe Science and Technology Governance project draws together a set of CSTMS activities––research grants, working groups, and workshops––focused broadly on technoscience,  power, and politics. The project aims to generate policy-relevant knowledge about the relation of science to political order with special attention to law and regulation, expertise in democracy, and the politics of innovation. Current topics of interest include the role of experts in health and environmental regulation, the shape of the security regime in synthetic biology, the politics of “greeness” in biofuels, and the governance of geoengineering and biofuels research.
