Dear all,

Welcome to Berkeley for a new semester! It was nice to see familiar and new faces at the CSTMS reception last week! This is Angelo, PhD Candidate in the History Department, and I will be organizing the working group this year with my friends and colleagues Marlee Tichenor (Anthropology Department), Santiago Molina (Sociology), Patrick Baur (ESPM), and Camilla Hawthorne (Geography).

I am writing to invite you all to the first meeting of the STS/OHST working group on Thursday, September 15, 12-2 pm in 470 Stephens. Lunch will be provided. At our first meeting, we would like to get to know you all better and present the schedule for the 2016 fall semester. Please do not miss it!

New feature of the working group this semester: we would like to facilitate collaboration among scholars with similar interests and create smaller groups of respondents to share and improve your research (a paper you are writing, an oral presentation, a draft article). Please come to our first meeting to find your group! The presence of graduate students in the Designated Emphasis in STS is highly encouraged!
