John Heilbron, who passed away on November 5, 2023, in Padua, Italy, was an eminent and internationally acclaimed scholar of the history of the physical sciences, a leader in the development of the history of science at UC Berkeley and as an academic discipline, and a former Vice Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley. This event brings together former colleagues, students, and friends of John to share memories and reflections on his life and work. A reception follows in 470 Stephens Hall, the place John founded and ran the Office for History of Science and Technology (OHST).
