We invite you all to our first Science and Justice Working Group event of the year, which will be this Wednesday November 16, from 4-6PM in Engineering 2, 599 (for those who have not been to this space before, the room is in front of you right as you exit the elevators on the 5th floor). Steve Sturdy, who is visiting us from Edinburgh, and who was the former Deputy Director of the Genomics Forum in the United Kingdom, will lead us in a discussion of what constitutes the ‘public good’ of genomics. Lindsey Dillon (Sociology) and Gretchen Gano (Center for Science, Technology, Medicine and Society, UC Berkeley) will be discussants. I hope many of you can make it.
