As contemporary biometric, surveillance, and carceral technologies proliferate and circulate between corporate labs, prisons, detention facilities,battleelds, and borders, Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men presents a world not far from our own where such technologies have become structural,fully-integrated features of everyday life. While these technologies violently regulate human movements in the name of security, life itself,threatened by global infertility, is contingent upon those who escape state and other technologies of capture and death.
