CSTMS is thrilled that Freyja Knapp is joining the Center this semester as a Graduate Fellow.
As a long-term member of the CSTMS community, Freyja is excited to be working with the Center this semester and brings a passion for driving CSTMS forward. Freyja will be working on programmatic activity such as the Fall 2014 Colloquium Series, workshops, and conferences; supporting the working groups and scholars affiliated with the center; and assisting with longer-term strategic planning. Freyja’s research is focused on the convergence of electronic waste recycling and multinational mining within international cooperation projects. Her work touches on post-colonial histories of the mining industry, the use and production of science in public-private partnerships, and the politics of global environmental governance.
