Workshop

Join your colleagues at the UC Berkeley Center for Science, Technology, Medicine, and Society for a two-part workshop on expanding your scholarship beyond the academy.

This series is aimed at graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and faculty members whose work engages with social and historical aspects of science. You may participate no matter your familiarity with public writing practices and strategies; in fact, we encourage people at all levels of experience to share their work! Participants explored the ways that their subject could be presented to a wider public audience during the first session. The second session(s) will bring the participants together to workshop these drafts. Please bring a draft of your pitch (that you will send to the publication editor) and the first paragraph of your article. By the end, we hope to have attendees leave with feedback that will prepare these articles for full drafting.

The registration form for this workshop can be found here. Please contact John Alaniz (alaniz@berkeley.edu) for details.
