In October 2011, I defended my PhD in sociology at the Department of Sociological Theory, University of Barcelona (Spain).
I am currently preparing a post-doctoral project and looking for a post-doctoral position in sociology or related fields.

In my research-based PhD thesis entitled "Family-based affirmative action? Subversion and resilience strategies of gay father families" I explored the question of how gender and family were constructed by Spanish gay father families at home, on one hand, and on the other, in their social milieus, particularly at school, as well as how and with what consequences potential differences between those two worlds were negotiated.

From 2007 to 2010, I was a research fellow at the Department and the Centre of Research in Theories and Practices that Overcome Social Inequalities (CREA-UB), with the support of the FI fellowship of the Government of Catalonia and the European Social Fund for the Training of Research Staff. For three years at that time I was also an assistant teacher of sociology of education at the University of Barcelona.
In 2010, I realized an academic stay at the Centre for Family Research of the University of Cambridge (UK).

I had gained my MA degrees in sociology, as well as in journalism and social communication, at the Jagiellonian University of Cracow (Poland), where I had also been an activist in the LGBT movement (in the NGO Campaign Against Homophobia), and where I wrote my first publications on the subject.

I am currently preparing journal publications based on my PhD thesis on LGB families: on their communication strategies with their school communities, on inclusive school measures and family-based bullying, and on the construction of gender at school and at home in gay father families.
